University and College Acceptance List

How Much Does Online Homeschooling Cost?

Forest Trail Academy’s academic advisors work to guide students to identify colleges and universities that are best suited for their ambitions, interests, and needs. The academic advisors enthusiastically participate in many facets of the application process and provide support for both students and parents.

The academic advising process really starts well before the college application process does. Our academic advisors create a course plan for every student. Bimonthly, they hold live general sessions with students and parents to ensure that collaboration take place in the college application process.  Elementary schoolers, middle schoolers, and early grade level high schoolers are welcome to ask general questions.

The process starts at the middle school level. At this level, students become involved as they solidify their interests, talents, and determine other areas of discovery such as possible career choices, college options, upcoming required testing, vocational trade, military options, and or workforce certifications. Our academic advisors use Gomerry, CollegeXpress, and other tools as they proceed through a course of self-discovery and learning strategies and development. Freshmen and sophomores use similar resources to explore careers, college/university options, and interests.

Logically, the college application and admission inquiry process are refined during the junior year. Inquiries from students and parents and information gathered from live conferences afford our academic advisors to create a college plan best suited for their students. Students are encouraged to start thinking about who they will request letter of recommendations from, research best aligned colleges/ universities, admission requirements, and to register to take the SAT and ACT tests. During the summer, rising seniors are reminded to research tools such as  Common Applications, etc. so that they are familiar with the process when they are actually ready to fill them out when they re-enroll for their senior year.

Senior year encompasses frequent meetings with their academic advisors. The guidance of our academic advisors are thorough, extensive, and unique in nature as we serve students worldwide.

With such intentional efforts from our academic advisors, it is no surprise that over 95 percent of Forest Trail Academy graduates go on to four-year colleges and universities, including some of the most competitive ones in the USA and worldwide.
