Online School for Boston Families | Forest Trail Academy
Your family lives in one of the most academically intense cities in the world, surrounded by Harvard, MIT, BU, and Northeastern, and you still can’t find a school that fits your child’s actual life. Whether your student is training with a competitive rowing club on the Charles River, auditioning for productions at the Boston Children’s Theatre, or your family relocated here from one of the 100+ countries represented in Boston’s international academic community, the traditional school calendar simply wasn’t built for them. Forest Trail Academy gives Boston families a fully accredited, self-paced K-12 option that works around real schedules, not the other way around.
Why Boston Families Choose FTA
Boston’s private school market is brutal. Groton, Milton Academy, and Phillips Academy Andover charge $40,000, $55,000 a year, and even then your student is locked into a rigid daily schedule with zero flexibility. If your child competes in sailing through Community Boating or swims year-round with the Crimson Aquatics Swim Team, those institutions simply don’t bend. FTA does. Your student logs in when it works, before morning practice, after an evening performance, or on a Sunday afternoon, and moves at the pace that actually matches how they learn. There’s no compromising between academics and the thing they love.
Boston is also home to thousands of internationally mobile families connected to the Kendall Square biotech corridor, MIT’s research programs, and global consulting firms headquartered downtown. When a parent’s assignment changes or your family needs to split time between Boston and another city, FTA enrollment doesn’t skip a beat. You’re not re-applying to a new school district, begging for mid-year transfers, or worrying whether credits will follow your student. One enrollment, one transcript, one school, no matter where life takes you next.
