| Enrollment in our school provides structure and tools to help parents comply with state laws for children of compulsory school age in grades K-12. We have four options to meet these educational needs. All programs represents the student(s) is enrolled in Forest Trail Academy, a private school. We will provide official records of the education maintained during this period for future use in transferring "credit" earned to another school or educational program which requires such documentation. You accept responsibility for planning, developing, and supervising an educational program for your child(ren), which will include submission of periodic reports to Forest Trail Academy on forms designed for that purpose. In other words, parents are responsible maintaining comprehensive school records. Based on these records, we will issue grade placement recommendations, school credits, transcripts, and diplomas. |

| NEW!!! Our home school program K-12 is a self-paced and ideal for individuals/parents who want to make the decision as to what curriculum they use. Once enrolled, parents/students purchase the curriculum of their choice (Christian, secular, etc). Simply notify us in writing the curriculum you have chosen. Students are assessed yearly to determine correct grade level placement.
The tuition for this program is only $30 per month or $300 paid in full. |

| The Correspondence Program K - 12 is a self-paced and ideal for parents/students who want to have their study materials selected & mailed and wish to study in a "traditional" paper and pencil method. Student/Parent receives the curriculum by mail and once completed are mailed back to the school for grading.
Tuition starts at $750 with 50% due upon enrollment. |

| As a general guideline for elementary grades (K-8), the lower the grade, the less time a child needs to spend doing "book work". For example, an acceptable program of study at home for a child aged 5-8 may involve no more than 1 hour / subject / week, where the educational supervisor provides a lot of opportunity for "hands on" experience. |

| "Play is the serious business of childhood" (Piaget), so for grades K-3, games and physical activity may become the primary curricular focus.
