How do I locate a proctor? (Both Online and Home Study Students) |
The best place to begin your search is at a local university which may have a dedicated testing center. Local libraries can also be very helpful. Your proctor is required fill out the Proctor Agreement/Verification Form (the form is a PDF file; downloading it requires Adobe Reader. This form should be returned to Program Support Services with a business card or official letterhead. This information is used to verify the proctor's address and position. If you have sent the proctor verification form to our office and don't hear from us, then you can assume that the proctor has been verified. You will only be contacted if there is a problem. Proctors usually supervise exams without charge. However, if a fee is charged, you are responsible for the payment. |

The proctor will verify the exam that you are taking along with the date and time the exam is submitted. If you are enrolled in the Home Study program, your final exams are mailed to you along with the course you are taking. At the time you complete all coursework the Final Exam will have to be taken in the presence of a Proctor. When you have completed all coursework and Final Exam, mail everything to the School for grading by the teacher. |

If you are enrolled in the Online program you will be able to view your exams immediately if they are Multiple Choice. If the exam has essay questions, you will be required to wait for your teacher to grade and submit your grade online. If you are enrolled in the Home Study program, your instructor will grade the examination and you will receive notice of your grade and comments from the instructor. The exam itself cannot be returned to you, but it will be held for two months at the Program Support Services office, where you may review the document. If you live outside the Florida area, you may request that your examination be sent to your proctor. You may review it under his or her supervision within 30 days after the proctor receives the exam. You may not copy any portion of the exam. The proctor will return the exam to Program Support Services after the 30-day review period has lapsed. |
